What
is a Conservation District?
A Conservation District
is a group of local people working together to attempt to
improve sustainability on a specific landscape. These people
realize the connectivity of our communities to the health of the
watershed we live in. If we live in a vibrant, healthy watershed
the quality of life will improve for all of the areas residents.
The Conservation
District's Program in Manitoba has traditionally offered a wide variety
of conservation programming aimed at achieving this goal.
Currently, LSRBCD offers 14 different soil, water and pasture
conservation programs to its landowners.
Note: Due to the fact that different
landscapes require different management strategies not all programs
offered by other CDs will be offered by LSRBCD.
