Water Quality Monitoring
The benefits of monitoring water
quality ar
e quite obvious:
water quality is one of the best
indicators of the health of a system. A healthy watershed has to
have good quality water.
By creating a testing regime
that is repeated year after year, a Conservation District can
determine if their programming has had the appropriate impact on the
watershed. Districts often use water quality results for public
education and as a tool for integrated watershed management.
