Sediment Barrier

A sediment barrier or trap is designed to contain eroded sediment at the same location from which it originates.  This will typically involve dissipation of flowing waters in small on-field watercourses to allow sediment to be dropped from sediment loads.  Water is then able to be removed via constricting pipes or tile drainage.
