Gully Erosion Repair

Gullies are large crevasses created on the landscape as a result of wind or water soil erosion, severe topography and run-offs from heavy rains or from spring melting.  Water can accumulate in these channels slowly stripping away soil from the channel walls and base making them wider and deeper.  If gullies are left to erosion away, the most valuable top soil will be lost.

Gully formation can disrupt a landowners farming operation by dividing up a field into several pieces and creating hazardous conditions for any equipment operator.  Gullies also pose a serious health and safety risk to wildlife and livestock as well as humans.  Livestock and wildlife could get too close to the unstable side, which could give out causing the animal to fall into the gully.
